If you want to become a member feel free to come along to one of our club nights (Wednesday nights @ 5:30) and register at the Club house. You get the first 3 club nights for free to give the kids a chance to decide if they like it or not.
Fees & Membership Costs
Club nights are every Wednesday night and cost $3 per rider for entry fee OR $5 per family of 3 or more riders.
A one-off track levy fee is payable per family at the first license registration = $100.00. This is to help with the continued improvement of the Sunset Coast BMX facility. Your receipt will be returned to you at the next club night with your license.
Strider Membership (no pedals) = $100.00. Once registered they are also eligible to compete at race meetings outside of the club where strider classes are available.
Sprocket License = $145.00 (All Non-strider riders aged 7 or under as at 31st December each calendar year).
Challenge License = $145 (All riders aged 8 or over as at 31st December of the licensing year)
Sprockets will be issued with their number plate, but Club and Challenge Riders will need to purchase their own plates and numbers.
Bike Safety & Rules
Full Face Helmets are Compulsory – Excluding Striders
Riders must have Long Pants, Long top sleeves, Full Finger gloves and covered shoes.
We highly encourage parents to get involved in the club in whatever way they can. This is a great way to feel part of the action, meet new people and show your kids your commitment to their chosen sport.
Track MUST be ridden in the right direction.
Don’t ride beyond your abilities – feel free to talk to coaches if you have any concerns.
Parents are to supervise children at all time. SCBMX cannot be responsible if children are wandering unsupervised on the BMX track during racing and they are hit. We take every precaution to ensure the track is clear before starting a new race. You are responsible for your child’s safety
Check that your bike is in working order, cleaned, lubed and tightened up ready to race.
